Railway Ministry to Install CCTVs Across All Coaches and Locomotives

- CCTV cameras to be fitted in all 74,000 passenger coaches and 15,000 locomotives

- Each coach to have 4 cameras, each locomotive 6 cameras

- Footage to remain clear above 100 kmph and in low light conditions

- Ministry also exploring AI-based analysis of CCTV data in collaboration with the IndiaAI Mission

- Move aimed at enhancing passenger safety and monitoring across the rail network
